Job Title: Associate Professor
Department: Nursing Practice
Location: St. Lawrence Health, Canton-Potsdam Hospital Main, Potsdam, NY
Hours Per Week: 40 scheduled weekly hours
Schedule: Full-Time, 8-hour shifts, days are 8 am -3 pm, evenings are 3 pm -10 pm
SUMMARY: Faculty develops, implements, and evaluates the assigned program of study on an ongoing basis. This position participates in selecting students, advising students, curriculum development, program revisions, program evaluations, textbook selection, teaching in the classroom and clinical setting, evaluation of student achievement, and other matters, as assigned, in accordance with the mission, core values, and purposes of the college.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides leadership for all academic programs
Works with the Program Coordinator and the Dean of Academics and to facilitate appropriate program development, implementation, evaluation and assessment
Ensures systematic review of programs to ensure quality and current course content, best practice and achievement of regulatory standards;
Performs other duties as assigned by the President, Program Coordinator and/or the Dean of Academics;
Serves on committees as assigned/approved;
Reports to the relevant program coordinator.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Required Degree
Master’s degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher learning recognized by the US Department of Education
Must hold the appropriate terminal degree for the program of which they will be teaching in
Required License
Professional license applicable for program of study (ie. RN, RT, Surgical Tech, etc.) required. Non-Clinical teaching, license not required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Certified Nurse Educator certification for nursing preferred;
Two years of teaching in a college or university preferred

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
