Customer Service & Acquisitions Lead
Colchester, Essex
Temporary Contract – 3 Months
Full Time – 37 Hours per Week
£15.00–£18.00 per hour PAYE
Minimum 4 days per week office based
About the Role
We are recruiting a Customer Service & Acquisitions Lead to join their growing digital connectivity business on an initial three-month contract.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in customer service, customer success, account management, sales support, business development or client relationship management who enjoys building strong customer relationships while helping to grow a successful business.
Working closely with the wider team, you will support new and existing customers, generate new business opportunities, manage customer accounts and contribute to the ongoing success of a growing fibre broadband provider.
What You'll Do
• Build and develop a pipeline of new customer opportunities through research, networking, referrals and digital enquiries.
• Speak with prospective customers to understand their requirements and recommend suitable broadband and connectivity solutions.
• Convert enquiries into new customer accounts.
• Deliver excellent customer service and act as the main point of contact for customer enquiries.
• Manage customer onboarding from enquiry through to account setup.
• Support existing customers with account queries, renewals and service requests.
• Handle customer complaints professionally and work towards positive resolutions.
• Set up customer accounts and raise invoices.
• Process customer payments and reconcile transactions received through Stripe, GoCardless and bank transfers.
• Support credit control activities and help reduce overdue payments.
• Prepare reports and dashboards covering customer service and acquisition performance.
• Analyse customer data to identify trends and opportunities for service improvements.
• Coordinate meetings, maintain accurate records and support the day-to-day running of the business.
What We're Looking For
We are interested in hearing from candidates with experience in roles such as Customer Service Advisor, Customer Success Executive, Account Manager, Client Relationship Executive, Sales Support Coordinator, Business Development Executive, Customer Experience Advisor, Client Services Coordinator, Sales Administrator, Internal Sales Executive, Customer Account Manager or similar positions.
You will have:
• Previous experience in customer service, account management, customer success, sales support or business development.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• The ability to identify customer needs and provide appropriate solutions.
• Strong administration and organisational skills.
• Good Microsoft Office skills, particularly Word and Excel.
• Experience working with spreadsheets and customer data.
• The ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
• A proactive and collaborative approach.
Nice to Have
• Experience within telecommunications, fibre broadband, utilities, technology or digital services.
• Knowledge of customer onboarding and account management processes.
• Experience with invoicing, payment systems, Stripe or GoCardless.
• Experience producing reports and analysing business performance data.
• Knowledge of process improvement or business systems.
