About the role

12 Month Fixed Term Contract | Melbourne Based | Hybrid Office

Join AGL's Electrification & Innovation (E&I) team and help accelerate Australia's transition to a cleaner energy future. E&I develops and scales innovative products that empower customers to adopt emerging technologies and unlock more value from their energy, including market-leading offerings such as EV Night Saver and Battery Rewards.

As a Data Analyst, you'll be part of a lean, high-performing Data team that partners across Product, Commercial, Operations and Technology to deliver insights that drive decision-making and improve customer outcomes. Reporting to the Data Product Manager, you'll work across a broad range of initiatives, from analysing customer behaviour and product performance to developing reporting and supporting data capability uplift across the team.

What you’ll be doing:

• Turn complex data into actionable insights that drive growth, improve operational performance, and enable data-informed decision making across E&I.

• Uncover customer and product opportunities through deep analysis, identifying ways to maximise value for both customers and AGL.

• Build impactful dashboards and data solutions that bring program performance to life and make insights accessible to stakeholders.

• Partner across Product, Commercial and Operations teams to solve business challenges, deliver analytics projects, and influence key decisions.

• Present insights to senior stakeholders to influence business outcomes and decision making.

About you:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn complex data into meaningful business insights and recommendations.

• Advanced SQL and intermediate Python skills, with experience extracting, transforming and analysing large datasets.

• Experience building dashboards and visualisations using tools such as Power BI or Tableau to communicate performance and influence decision-making.

• Exposure to modern data platforms and data engineering practices, including Azure solutions.

• Collaborative and self-driven, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, build strong stakeholder relationships and deliver outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
