A growing mechanical and plumbing contractor in the San Antonio market is seeking an experienced Project Manager to help lead the next phase of its growth. Position Overview
This position is more than a traditional Project Manager role. The ideal candidate will serve as the bridge between estimating, project execution, and field operations while helping develop scalable project management processes to support the company's continued growth.

Responsibilities

Manage commercial plumbing and mechanical construction projects from turnover through closeout.

Coordinate project startup, scheduling, procurement, material releases, and project execution.

Oversee budgets, forecasting, change orders, billing, and overall project financial performance.

Serve as the primary point of contact for owners, general contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and project stakeholders.

Support field superintendents to ensure projects remain on schedule, within budget, and meet quality expectations.

Develop and improve project management procedures, workflows, and best practices.

Coordinate project turnover from estimating into production.

Manage submittals, RFIs, procurement logs, equipment tracking, and project documentation.

Participate in planning meetings and proactively identify opportunities to improve project execution.

Travel locally throughout the San Antonio market as needed.

Represent the company professionally with clients, project teams, and industry partners.
Qualifications
-
5+ years of Project Management experience in commercial mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, or piping construction.

Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.

Strong understanding of project financials, scheduling, procurement, and construction documentation.

Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Strong organizational and computer proficiency.

Comfortable working in both the office and the field.

Process-driven mindset with the ability to improve systems and workflows.

Experience with government, military, institutional, healthcare, or commercial projects is highly preferred.

Previous field experience as a Superintendent, Foreman, or Journeyman is a plus.
