Senior Director of Trade Marketing (Hybrid)

Description

The Senior Director of Trade MArketing is a newly established leadership role responsible for building and running Bellami's Trade Marketing function. This role owns the salon marketing channel end-to-end from loyalty in-salon merchandising, annual planning, and promotion execution and stands up the team required to deliver it. The role reports into SVP of Marketing and partners closely with Sales, Education, and Brand and Integrated Marketing. 

Hybrid Schedule: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday onsite at our Los Angeles office

Compensation: Based on experience $190,000- $200,000

Bonus: 20% annual bonus

The Senior Director of Trade will build and lead the following core pillars: 

• Build a robust salon loyalty system with centralized ownership and tracking 
• Develop detailed salon profiles to segment and prioritize the salon base 
• Strategically drive salon visibility and merchandising across available salons 
• Own the annual marketing planning process for key salon accounts 
• Design and manage promotions with clear efficiency and ROI tracking 
• Create and maintain the Stylist Playbook 

Core Responsibilities 

• Commercialization: Own commercialization of marketing plans and in-salon execution in partnership with Sales 
• Strategy translation: Translate brand and marketing strategies into key salon business priorities 
• Sales enablement: Support commercial plans that enable Sales teams to win in key salons and chains 
• Salon Presence: Manage the retail interface to support in-salon execution 
• Promotion analytics: Track promotion efficiency and brand-level ROI / cost-per-event analysis 
• KPI tracking: Integrate a robust KPI tracking mechanism across all trade programs 
• Market activation: Create roadshows for big cities and priority markets 

Requirements

Ideal Candidate Profile 

• Proven experience building or scaling a trade marketing, field marketing, or channel marketing function, ideally in salon, beauty, or CPG 
• Track record designing loyalty, ambassador, or influencer-style programs with measurable ROI 
• Strong cross-functional leadership, able to partner with Sales and Brand Marketing without formal authority over either 
• Experience hiring and standing up a new team from a defined headcount plan 
• Comfort operating in both strategy (annual planning, vision-setting) and execution (roadshows, POP catalogs, events, salon-level rollout)
