The Assistant Branch Manager & Consumer Loan Officer supports daily branch operations while participating in consumer lending. The role assists the Branch Manager with staff supervision, ensuring exceptional member service, and meeting branch performance goals. It also originates, processes, and closes consumer loans while maintaining strong compliance and risk-management standards. 

Key responsibilities include: 

· Help oversee daily branch operations, staff scheduling, and workflows

· Provide coaching, training, and performance feedback to branch employees

· Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality member service and operational excellence

· Serve as acting Branch Manager in their absence

· Meet with members to identify lending needs and recommend appropriate credit union products and personalized financial solutions

· Process consumer loans within assigned authority levels

· Prepare loan documentation, ensure regulatory compliance, and manage loan closings

· Resolve member concerns with professionalism, empathy, and accuracy

What you’ll bring:

· Previous or transferrable experience in retail banking; supervisory experience is preferred

· Prior lending experience

· Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills

· Ability to lead, motivate, and support a team

· This is a salaried position, with a budgeted salary of $61,000 - $76,000. Final salary will be commensurate with experience.
