Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Visitor Registration in Asbury Park, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Shelter, and more. As a Front Desk Security Professional at a shelter location, you will serve as a welcoming, visible presence while supporting a secure environment for residents, visitors, and staff. You will monitor access, greet and assist guests, communicate professionally, document activity, and help address security-related concerns. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and service providers by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, front desk policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor access at the front desk, greet and screen visitors, verify credentials as required, and maintain visitor sign-in records.
• Answer telephone calls, provide basic directions and information, and route inquiries to appropriate staff members or resources.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, respectful, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities as required.
• Maintain awareness of lobby and entry activity, report suspicious or prohibited activity, and help to deter unauthorized access to the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
