Job Summary
Provides essential support to radiology technologists and radiologists to help ensure efficient imaging operations and a safe, comfortable experience for patients. Assists with patient preparation and positioning, equipment and supply readiness, image management, patient transport, and departmental documentation.Does this position require Patient Care?

Essential Functions
-Welcome and prepare patients for imaging procedures, providing clear information about what to expect and addressing questions within scope of the role.
-Assist patients with positioning and preparation to support safe, high-quality imaging.
-Prepare and organize imaging rooms, equipment, and necessary supplies prior to procedures.
-Support radiology technologists with image processing, including labeling, organizing, and transferring digital images to the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS).
-Assist with the safe transport of patients to and from the radiology department.
-Monitor and maintain departmental supplies, including gowns, contrast-related materials, and other necessary items.
-Maintain accurate and timely documentation related to patient procedures, supporting medical record and billing requirements.
-Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment for patients, visitors, and team members.

High School Diploma or Equivalent required

Licenses and Credentials

Experience
Experience in a hospital, managed care, or radiology setting preferred.
0–1 year of relevant experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Basic knowledge of medical terminology and radiology procedures or the ability to learn on the job.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and members of the radiology team.
Attention to detail and a commitment to patient safety and accurate documentation.
Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment while providing a positive patient experience.
Ability to assist with patient movement and positioning, including lifting and transferring patients as needed.
Ability to stand and remain active for extended periods during procedures.
