Description
At BBH, Partnership is more than a form of ownership—it’s our approach to business and relationships. We know that supporting your professional and personal goals is the best way to help our clients and advance our business. We take that responsibility seriously. With a 200-year legacy and a shared passion for what’s next, this is the right place to build a fulfilling career.
Join the global legal department of a world-class financial services organization. As Senior Administrator, you will lead the Office of the General Counsel (“OGC”) Legal Support team and own the strategy, performance and continuous advancement of the department’s core technology platforms. This is a role for someone ambitious about raising the bar: you will develop talent, partner with the General Counsel on department-wide initiatives, and drive the adoption, data integrity and system improvements that measurably change how the department works — all with the professionalism, integrity and judgment the role demands.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead the daily operations of the Legal Support team, setting the department’s project agenda and long-range plans.
- Supervise, coach and grow the team through performance management, capacity planning and workload prioritization.
- Partner with the General Counsel on department-wide initiatives, from shaping priorities through to execution.
- Design, document and continuously improve Legal Support processes, standards and training.
- Own the roadmap for the OGC’s core technology platforms — prioritizing enhancements, upgrades and defect remediation, and leading testing and release readiness.
- Drive firmwide adoption through training, user support and reporting, including recurring employee access, document deletion and Finance Committee reporting.
- Advance the department’s AI and automation initiatives, identifying where technology can remove manual effort and improve quality.
- Own records retention, document destruction, access certification and system policies,
- Track developments in legal department management and technology, evaluate vendors, and champion the ideas worth adopting here.
What You’ll Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years supporting an in-house legal department, law firm or comparable professional services environment; financial services or another regulated industry preferred, and prior paralegal experience a plus.
- Prior supervisory or people management experience, including coaching, performance management and workload prioritization for a small team.
- Experience administering document or contract management systems (iManage, NetDocuments or similar), including enhancements, upgrades and user acceptance testing, with availability for occasional scheduled weekend testing windows.
- Proficiency in report generation and data extraction, plus strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
- Experience with records retention, access reviews and annual certification processes in a regulated environment.
- Sound judgment, meticulous attention to detail and the discipline to deliver against policy-driven schedules.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, curiosity about emerging legal technology and AI, and the confidence to influence across a global organization.
Success in this role looks like a well-developed team delivering ahead of expectations, technology platforms that get demonstrably better each year, governance and records obligations met without exception, and a General Counsel who sees you as a go-to partner for the department’s strategic agenda.
