As a Security Officer - Driver Patrol - Mornings in North Chicago, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols and primarily drive assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will support a welcoming environment through exceptional customer service, clear communication, and timely reporting. - Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a healthcare-related location by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, medical-related emergencies, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established response protocols.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required, and report suspicious activity, hazards, or policy violations to appropriate site contacts.
- Prepare clear, accurate reports of patrols, incidents, observations, and emergency response activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
