Description

Are you ready for your next career challenge?

The Integrated Airborne Solutions Branch, part of the Defense Sector at Leidos, currently has an opening for a cleared Logistics & Supply Support Specialist to work in our Beavercreek, OH office. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience supporting Air Force Research Laboratory, Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, and other Department of Defense missions.

As part of our Logistics team, you will support a diverse portfolio of programs involving software design and development, hardware interfacing and integration, laboratory experimentation, ground and flight testing, and deployment of cutting-edge, next-generation solutions.

Description:

We are seeking an experienced, highly organized, and detail-oriented Logistics & Supply Support Specialist to support material availability, supplier coordination, delivery performance, receiving, accountable property interfaces, and supply-chain execution for assigned programs.

The position serves as a key coordination point among program teams, Logistics, Global Supply Chain (GSC), Contracts, Finance, Property, Engineering, Quality, and other functional organizations. The successful candidate will translate program material requirements into actionable logistics information, independently manage assigned material and supply-support activities within established processes, track materials throughout the acquisition and delivery lifecycle, maintain accurate supporting records, identify and analyze schedule and supply risks, and provide analytical and operational support to authorized GSC personnel.

The position may gather and analyze supplier and market information, coordinate requirements, prepare analyses and recommendations, monitor supplier and material status, identify emerging issues, and provide documentation necessary to support acquisition activities. The position does not independently select suppliers, negotiate contractual price or terms and conditions, obligate Leidos funds, execute or modify purchase orders or supplier agreements, or exercise Procurement/Purchasing authority. Those activities are performed by duly authorized Global Supply Chain personnel in accordance with company policy and delegated authority.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate moderately complex program material and supply requirements with Program Management, Engineering, Logistics, Global Supply Chain (GSC), Property, Finance, Contracts, Quality, and other functional stakeholders; independently review requirements and supporting documentation for completeness and lead coordination to resolve gaps or inconsistencies prior to submission to GSC.
  • Support authorized GSC personnel with supplier and sourcing activities by gathering requirements, researching potential sources, collecting publicly available or supplier-provided information, and preparing factual analyses and comparisons of price, availability, lead time, delivery schedule, technical characteristics, and other program requirements for GSC review and decision.
  • Maintain accurate logistics, material, supplier-support, receiving, and transaction-support records in approved enterprise systems and program repositories; coordinate supplier onboarding and documentation activities by collecting, tracking, validating, and routing required information and records to the appropriate functional owner for review and approval.
  • Independently track assigned material requirements throughout the acquisition and delivery lifecycle, including ordering, supplier acknowledgement, shipment, receipt, inspection, property accountability, and delivery; proactively monitor material status, lead times, delivery schedules, shortages, late deliveries, and open commitments, and communicate risks, impacts, and recommended actions to appropriate program and functional stakeholders.
  • Coordinate material receipt, inspection, acceptance, storage, movement, issue, transfer, and disposition activities and lead coordination of routine delivery, quantity, receiving, quality-documentation, property, invoice, and other transaction discrepancies with GSC and applicable functional stakeholders.
  • Support government accountable property processes by maintaining accurate material and property records and coordinating with authorized Property personnel regarding receipt, identification, transfer, inventory, disposition, and other property-management requirements.
  • Perform material planning and logistics analysis, including demand tracking, material availability, lead-time analysis, shortage identification, delivery forecasting, supplier delivery performance, and identification of recurring transportation, receiving, inventory, or process issues; assess impacts and recommend practical corrective actions to the appropriate functional owner.
  • Provide logistics, material, receiving, delivery, property, shipment, and other supply-support information and analysis needed to support authorized GSC purchase-order administration and closeout, as well as program planning, execution, and proposal-development activities.
  • Apply working knowledge of applicable FAR, DFARS, contractual flow-downs, export-control, cybersecurity and controlled-information, counterfeit-parts avoidance, small-business, and company requirements; identify potential compliance or contractual issues and coordinate or escalate them to the appropriate authorized functional personnel.
  • Protect company, supplier, customer, proprietary, export-controlled, and Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) in accordance with applicable policies, contractual requirements, and authorized systems.
  • Participate in and provide logistics input to program reviews, material-status meetings, internal reviews, audits, inventories, training, and continuous-improvement activities; analyze trends and recommend improvements to approved Logistics and supply-chain processes.
  • Provide guidance and knowledge sharing to less-experienced team members, as appropriate, and serve as a logistics and material support resource for assigned programs while escalating matters requiring functional or delegated authority to the appropriate organization.

Basic Qualifications

  • Must have an active DoD Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations, Finance, or a related field with 4+ years of relevant experience. An additional 4 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • 4+ years of relevant professional experience in logistics, material management, supply support, supply chain, supplier coordination, property, operations, acquisition support, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating material requirements, deliveries, shipments, receiving activities, supplier information, or other supply-chain transactions in support of moderately complex programs or operational requirements.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word, with experience using or the ability to quickly learn ERP, logistics, material-management, purchasing, supplier-management, and reporting systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently review material and transaction data, identify inconsistencies and emerging issues, maintain accurate records, develop recommended actions, and follow established approval and escalation processes.
  • Strong organizational skills with demonstrated attention to detail and the ability to independently manage multiple material requirements, priorities, and competing due dates.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to coordinate effectively with cross-functional teams, program leadership, functional organizations, and external suppliers.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze material availability, delivery schedules, supplier-provided information, logistics data, and related risks and clearly communicate findings, impacts, and recommended actions to stakeholders.
  • Ability to work effectively in a deadline-driven, regulated environment with limited day-to-day supervision.
  • Ability to independently perform moderately complex assignments, exercise sound professional judgment within established policies and procedures, and appropriately escalate matters requiring additional functional or delegated authority.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting defense, aerospace, federal contracting, or another regulated environment.
  • Experience supporting Department of Defense programs, preferably involving multiple programs, projects, or material requirements.
  • Working knowledge of FAR, DFARS, government-contracting requirements, and contractual flow-downs affecting material, logistics, or supplier activities.
  • Experience with material planning, logistics coordination, supplier coordination, shipment tracking, receiving, inventory, accountable property, or supply-chain operations.
  • Experience supporting acquisition activities in coordination with authorized Procurement/Purchasing personnel.
  • Experience collecting and analyzing supplier information and preparing price, delivery, lead-time, technical, or other factual comparisons for review by authorized decision-makers.
  • Experience with purchase-order status tracking, receiving, invoice discrepancy coordination, transaction documentation, and acquisition lifecycle support.
  • Familiarity with government property requirements and accountable property processes.
  • Experience with ERP, logistics, material-management, property-management, or supplier-management systems.
  • Strong data-analysis skills for evaluating material status, lead times, shortages, supplier delivery performance, trends, and other logistics metrics and translating findings into actionable recommendations.
  • Familiarity with Buy American Act (BAA), Trade Agreements Act (TAA), Certificates of Conformance, counterfeit-parts avoidance, export-control, cybersecurity, or CUI requirements.
  • Experience supporting internal reviews, audits, inventories, corrective actions, or process-improvement initiatives.
  • Experience providing informal guidance, training, knowledge sharing, or mentorship to less-experienced team members.
  • APICS/ASCM, CLTD, CPIM, CSCP, PMP, or other relevant logistics, supply-chain, or project-management certification is a plus.
