Description
Content Manager
About the Role
Helpware is building a stronger, more deliberate editorial capability to turn our expertise and customer experience into content that earns attention and strengthens our commercial position.
We’re looking for a Content Manager to help build that capability.
This is not a traditional content marketing role. You won’t spend your time producing campaign copy, social derivatives, or filling out an editorial calendar for the sake of publishing. Your focus will be on developing substantive, point-of-view-led content that gives Helpware a stronger and more consistent voice in the market.
You’ll be both a writer and a leader, personally developing high-value content while supervising the starting Editorial team, setting the quality bar, shaping priorities, and helping other writers produce work that is commercially relevant, credible, and distinctly Helpware.
What You’ll Do
Build Helpware’s external editorial voice. Develop proactive thought leadership, executive POVs, industry perspectives, articles, and other authority-building content that gives Helpware something meaningful to say beyond our products and customer proof.
Turn expertise into perspective. Work directly with executives, Operations leaders, Solutions experts, Sales, and other SMEs to uncover ideas, challenge generic thinking, and turn internal expertise into compelling external narratives.
Write, not just manage. This is a hands-on leadership role. You’ll personally research, interview, develop, write, and edit strategic content rather than simply assign work to others.
Lead the Editorial team. Provide day-to-day direction, coaching, workload prioritization, editorial review, and quality control across the team.
Set the editorial standard. Help establish how Helpware sounds in market—clear, commercially relevant, evidence-led, credible, and confident without falling into generic B2B language.
Build an editorial point of view. Identify emerging issues, customer challenges, industry shifts, and internal expertise that Helpware can credibly own or contribute to.
Connect Editorial to commercial priorities. Ensure our thought leadership isn't disconnected from the business. Work with Marketing, Sales, Solutions, and Commercial Excellence to understand where Helpware wants to grow and where stronger market authority can help.
Edit with purpose. Challenge weak arguments, generic claims, unnecessary complexity, and content that says a lot without saying anything meaningful.
Protect one Helpware voice. Provide senior editorial review across strategically important content and help maintain consistency in messaging, narrative quality, and tone.
What This Role Does Not Own
Marketing remains responsible for campaign activation and high-volume campaign production—including e-guides, webinar campaigns, routine social derivatives, newsletters, paid-media copy, and other distribution-led content.
You will collaborate closely with Marketing and provide editorial direction where needed, but your job is to build the ideas and source content worth amplifying—not become the production arm for every channel.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong experience in B2B content, editorial, thought leadership, content strategy, or a related field
- Exceptional writing and editing skills, particularly for executive and sophisticated B2B audiences
- Experience interviewing executives and SMEs and turning their expertise into strong narratives
- Ability to find an original angle rather than simply summarize information
- Strong editorial judgment—you know what deserves publishing and what doesn't
- Ability to make complex subjects understandable without oversimplifying them
- Commercial awareness and an understanding that great B2B content ultimately needs to influence how buyers think
- Experience coaching or supervising writers and providing substantive editorial feedback
- Comfortable challenging stakeholders when an argument, claim, or piece of content isn't strong enough
- Strong research skills and intellectual curiosity
- Experience in BPO/BPS, CX, technology, professional services, or another complex B2B environment is highly advantageous
What Success Looks Like
You establish a recognizable and credible Helpware editorial voice that goes beyond talking about what we sell.
Our executives and SMEs become sources of meaningful market perspectives. Editorial becomes proactive rather than purely request-driven. And the team consistently produces content that Marketing wants to amplify, Sales wants to use, and our target audiences have a reason to read.
