As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Computer Assisted Patrol in Glendale, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As an unarmed Patrol Officer, you will monitor and patrol assigned school district areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and document observations using computer or tablet tools. - Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and community members by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of school buildings, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and contacting appropriate personnel as needed.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, report suspicious behavior or facility concerns, and maintain clear, accurate incident documentation.
- Support a respectful, welcoming learning environment while maintaining professional communication with school staff, students, visitors, and first responders.
Minimum Requirements:
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
