Overview

Tremend is looking for a Technical Architect to join our team of bright thinkers and doers. You’ll use your problem-solving creativity to figure out our client’s most complex and challenging problems across different industries, technologies and infrastructure providers. We are on a mission to transform the world, and you will be instrumental in shaping how we do it with your ideas, thoughts, and solutions.   As an Technical Architect, your expertise will be pivotal in transforming organizational strategy into technological reality. You will bridge the gap between complex business challenges and innovative technological solutions, ensuring the alignment of business, security, policies and IT across our high-profile organization. Collaborating closely with various teams and departments, your role will guide the development and implementation of IT architectures that are robust, scalable, and agile.  Responsibilities:

 

• Strategy: Design and deliver enterprise-level architectural blueprints as well as solution level architectural blueprints that cater to both current and future business needs. Ensure that the overarching IT strategy effectively serves the organization's strategic goals in terms of business, security, policies and usability. 

• Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with senior management, IT leaders, and other stakeholders to ascertain and address business requirements. Act as a driver, advisor, advocating for strategic IT investments. 

• Technology Selection: Assess and recommend technologies, platforms, and services that align with the organization's objectives, scalability needs, security needs, policy acceptance and financial constraints. 

• Governance & Standards: Develop, establish, and maintain architectural standards, ensuring uniformity and adherence throughout the organization's IT initiatives. 

• Risk Management: Identify potential risks related to architecture and propose mitigation strategies. Ensure that all architectural decisions take security, compliance, and disaster recovery into consideration. 

• Architecture Review: Periodically review and update existing architectures to ensure that it accommodates changing business needs, technological advances, and emerging trends. 

• Collaboration: Work in tandem, be in the driver seat, with developers, and IT operations teams to facilitate the smooth transition from strategy to execution. 

• Change Management: Champion architectural evolution by spearheading change management initiatives. Oversee the introduction of new technologies and methodologies. 

• Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation related to architecture, solution implementation, security implementation and policy enablement, ensuring clarity and easy reference for all stakeholders. 

Skills & Experience:

 

• Understanding of the TOGAF framework, including business, information, application, and technology architecture. 

• Demonstrable industry experience, specifically in large multilayered solutions. 

• Excellent structuring skills to simplify complex ecosystems into clear, visual representations. 

• Proven proficiency in communication, stakeholder management, and engagement across diverse groups. 

• Microservices Architecture: Extensive experience in designing, building, and operating microservices-based systems. 

• Domain-Driven Design (DDD): Deep understanding and practical experience in applying DDD principles (Bounded Contexts, Aggregates, Entities) to model complex business domains. 

• Event-Driven Distributed Architecture: Proficiency in designing systems using event sourcing, CQRS (Command Query Responsibility Segregation), message queues (e.g., Kafka, pub sub), and stream processing. 

• API Design: Expertise in designing RESTful APIs, Graph QL, and employing API Gateways. 

• Strong expertise in backend software development using enterprise-grade languages and modern application frameworks. 

• Experience architecting solutions that seamlessly integrate and support native mobile applications (iOS/Android) and modern web applications (e.g., React, Angular,Vue.js). 

• Cloud Platforms: Hands-on experience with major cloud providers preferably AWS. 

• Databases: Strong knowledge of relational (SQL) and NoSQL databases and understanding of polyglot persistence. 

• Experience integrating architecture principles with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform), and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes). 

• Proven ability to design for high availability, disaster recovery, fault tolerance, and performance at scale. 

• Strong grasp of security principles and practices in a distributed architecture context (e.g., OAuth2, JWT, secure communication) 

• Sting grasp and compliance and security standards (e.g. GDPR, ISO Family or NIST Frameworks).
