Surgical Services Assistant - Operating Room - Full Time Day Shift, 730a-4pm

Job Summary :

The Surgical Services Attendant is responsible for providing operational and environmental support to the Operating Room team to ensure efficient patient care and surgical throughput. This position assists with room turnover, patient transportation, supply and equipment management, case cart preparation, and other departmental support activities. The Surgical Services Attendant plays a vital role in maintaining a safe, clean, and organized surgical environment while promoting efficient workflow throughout the department.

Job Description

Operating Room Support
Assist with cleaning and turnover of operating rooms between surgical procedures.
Prepare operating rooms for upcoming cases by stocking supplies and ensuring equipment readiness.
Support the surgical team in maintaining an efficient workflow and timely case starts.
Assist with moving equipment, supplies, and furniture as needed.
Environmental Responsibilities
Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the Operating Room department.
Perform environmental support duties in accordance with hospital policies and infection prevention standards.
Remove waste and soiled materials appropriately.
Supply and Case Preparation
Prepare and organize case carts for the next day's surgical schedule.
Assist with inventory management and restocking of supplies.
Ensure supplies and equipment are readily available for scheduled surgical procedures.
Patient Transportation
Transport patients from inpatient units and other designated locations to the Operating Room.
Retrieve and deliver patient beds as needed for postoperative admissions.
Assist with patient flow activities to support timely surgical procedures.
Additional Responsibilities
Participate in departmental meetings and training activities.
Maintain competency in assigned duties and responsibilities.
Perform other duties as assigned to support department operations and patient care.

Education & Experience:
1. High School graduate or equivalent required.
