About the Role

Join us as Senior Manager, FP&A at AIA Investment Management!

You will be responsible for delivering high-quality financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and business planning to support the strategic and financial objectives of AIA Investment Management. The role serves as a trusted finance business partner to investment, front office, and senior leadership team, providing actionable insights, financial modelling, and performance analysis to enable informed decision-making. Supporting the Head of Finance and together with the rest of the FP&A team, the incumbent drives business performance through effective planning, management reporting, process improvements, and the adoption of data analytics, automation, and technology-enabled solutions.

Responsibilities

Finance Business Partnering

• • Serve as the finance business partner to investment and front-office teams, supporting business planning, strategic growth initiatives, and decision-making.
  • Provide commercial insights through AUM, revenue, profitability, scenario analysis, financial modelling, and business case development.
  • Support the preparation of strategic presentations and financial analyses for senior leadership and Group Finance.

 

Budgeting, Forecasting & Management Reporting

• • Support and coordinate the annual budgeting and forecasting cycles, working closely with department heads and business units to ensure timely and accurate submissions.
  • Manage the Anaplan platform for budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting, providing support to stakeholders as required.
  • Monitor and update forecasts to reflect changes in business conditions, strategic priorities, and performance trends.
  • Prepare monthly management reports, performance review materials, and Group reporting submissions, including analysis of key variances against forecasts and budgets.
  • Develop financial models, dashboards, and data visualisations to enhance business insights, performance monitoring, and decision-making.
  • Analyse revenue, expenses, and key performance indicators to assess business performance and improve forecast accuracy.
  • Perform ad hoc financial analysis to support strategic initiatives and management decisions, including partnering with the front office teams in developing financial models and analyses

 

Month-End Close

• • Manage month-end activities in Anaplan, ensuring financial data is accurate, complete, and appropriately classified.
  • Partner with accounting teams to investigate and resolve reporting discrepancies.

 

Continuous Improvement & Strategic Initiatives

• • Drive the modernisation of FP&A through automation, AI-enabled analytics, advanced reporting tools, and process improvements.
  • Participate in finance transformation and firm-wide initiatives in partnership with Group Finance, CIO, COO, and other stakeholders.
  • Support ad hoc projects and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance business analysis and finance capabilities.

 

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline; CPA or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
• At least 8 years of experience in FP&A, finance business partnering, budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting.
• Experience in investment management, financial services, FinTech, Big 4, or similar commercial environments is highly desirable; knowledge of investment management finance is an advantage.
• Strong financial modelling, quantitative analysis, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to generate actionable insights and support strategic decision-making.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; experience with Anaplan, Power BI, dashboard development, and financial modelling tools is advantageous.
• Experience in digitalisation, process improvement, automation, and AI initiatives within the Finance function is a plus.
• Strong communication, presentation, stakeholder management, and influencing skills, with the ability to engage effectively with senior management and business partners.
• Proactive, detail-oriented team player with strong ownership, relationship-building skills, and the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
