Overview
This individual will work as part of a team of Accountants and Financial Analysts responsible for timekeeping, payroll and cost control functions at Electric Boat Quonset Point.
The team provides support to the QP Facility Vice President & Staff as well as the EB Controller. Focus is placed on ensuring all QP employees' time is charged appropriately and they are paid in a prompt, accurate fashion. The group also accounts for purchased services requested throughout the facility and ensures both labor and material costs are allocated properly and track to company objectives. The development of controllable overhead budgets, performance reporting against those budgets, and the creation of associated financial analyses and metrics are also major initiatives taken on by D969. The QP Payroll/Accounting team works closely with other organizations such as Human Resources, Benefits, Facilities and counterparts in EB Groton to keep the business running smoothly.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree
- 3 years of professional experience
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree with a concentration/major in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, or similar
- 3 years professional experience working for a US Government Contractor or performing assignments related to timekeeping, payroll, cost accounting and/or financial analysis
