Mission
ING Bank is looking for a Senior Product Manager to lead the development and evolution of Merchant Acquiring and Acceptance solutions (POS, SoftPOS, eCommerce).
In your day to day activities, as a Senior Product Manager, you will need to oversight the planning, backlog and deliverables in line with organization strategical objectives, apply a holistic view and drive the changes to continually improve the cards processing landscape. You will need to understand and evaluate complex data models and develop functional and non-functional requirements in collaboration with your team.

We are a very dedicated team which has the mission to bring new products and new features on existing products to give the best customer experience in cards ecosystem using agile methodology. In this respect, every team member is exposed to a variety of challenges, from technical solutions and design to improve the cards engines to stay in line with customers’ expectations, processing speed, within a bank regulated area which is changing very fast. That’s why we must design, implement and support new high quality enterprise software solutions which need to provide performance, availability and scalability but at the same time to offer integrity and confidentiality for our customers transactions.
Your day to day
Ensure the accurate delivery of products and services you have committed to, in line with organization projects and initiatives.
Collaborate closely with business and technology stakeholders to drive alignment, transparency and successful outcomes.
Define and drive the product vision, strategy and roadmap for merchant acquiring solutions (POS, SoftPOS, eCommerce and payment gateway).
Managing the backlog; active contribution to all events of the sprint by asking, answering & challenging.
Be a product expert & set new standard.
Understand customer, merchant and stakeholder needs and translate feedback into product enhancements and improved customer experiences.
Identify market trends, emerging technologies and business opportunities to develop new acquiring capabilities, products and services.
Continuously improve merchant and client journeys, from onboarding and activation to transaction processing and reconciliation.
Actively initiate/propose changes – new products/features, new processes, new technologies in line with observed opportunities & market trends.
Develop and maintain product documentation (product sheets, internal procedures).
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, card scheme rules (Visa/Mastercard) and security standards.
Monitor product performance and define KPIs (adoption, success rate, revenues, cost-to-serve, etc.), ensuring continuous optimization.
What you bring to the team
Minimum 3 years of experience in the banking sector (Cards Area/Merchant Acquiring).
Strong knowledge of acquiring products and payment acceptance solutions (POS, SoftPOS, eCommerce), including payment flows (authorization, clearing, settlement), chargebacks & dispute processes, 3D Secure, tokenization and payment gateways.
Analytical thinking, focus on quality (commitment to respect the standards of excellence), proactive attitude, determination.
