Salary: $45 - $45/hour
Position Details:

Assignment Details
- Start Date: October 8, 2026
- End Date: May 28, 2027
- Hours: 37.5 hours per week
- Grades: elementary, middle, or high school
Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counseling services.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive school counseling program aligned with district and Texas state guidelines.
- Support students with academic planning and achievement, social and emotional development, behavior management, and college and career readiness.
- Assist with course selection and graduation planning.
- Participate in ARD meetings and support students receiving special education services.
- Provide crisis intervention and mental health support.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, parents, school psychologists, and community agencies.
- Deliver classroom guidance lessons and student workshops.
- Maintain accurate counseling documentation and student records.
- Promote a positive school climate while ensuring compliance with TEA and district policies.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in School Counseling or a related field.
- Valid Texas School Counselor Certification.
- Knowledge of student development, counseling strategies, and Texas education laws.
- Ability to effectively support students from diverse backgrounds.
- Previous experience as a K-12 School Counselor is preferred.
- Elementary school counseling experience is strongly preferred.
- Experience with mental health and behavioral interventions.
- Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
