What We Offer
The City and County of Denver offers competitive pay commensurate with education and experience. The full salary range for this position is $26.84-$40.27. New hires are typically brought into the organization between $30.00-$34.00/hourly, based on experience. We also offer generous benefits for full-time employees which include but are not limited to:

Location & Schedule
In this position you can expect to work on site at Denver International Airport (parking is provided)
Shifts consist of four (4) 10-hour days
The primary shift will be discussed in interview and can be any of the shifts listed below
Shifts are yearlong commitments and are subject to change based on operational need:
Day Shift: 0500-1530 (5:00 AM-3:30 PM)
Swing Shift: 1430-0100 (2:30 PM-1:00 AM)
Graveyard Shift: 1930-0600 (7:30 PM-6:00 AM)
7%-12% pay differential depending on shift assigned
Shifts are not guaranteed and are subject to change
Denver International Airport is a 24/7/365 team operation. If staffing challenges occur, weather conditions warrant or an emergency crisis occurs, all DEN employees will be required to work extended hours and/or alternative shifts (including nights, weekends, and holidays)
Participates in mandatory snow removal duties

Key Responsibilities include:
Building Team
Performs all building maintenance inspections and repairs throughout the main terminal, concourses, and outlying buildings.
Seating repairs, Ceilings, Minor roofing, Flooring repair/replace, Overhead and Automatic doors, Trim carpentry, Glazing, ADA accessibility and compliance, and Minor building construction and repairs.
Additional responsibilities include:
Standard level trades work in a variety of trades areas, including but not limited to minor welding, mechanical maintenance, minor electrical, general carpentry, and hydraulic systems and schematics.
Inspects facilities and equipment to identify construction, equipment, and mechanical needs.
Maintains records and prepares reports, which includes estimating materials, labor, and equipment costs with supervisor or peers.
Uses blueprints to sketch, plan, and design the installation, maintenance, and repair of machines, equipment, and facility structures.
Observes all common safety practices.
Operates lightweight and heavy equipment and vehicles in connection with assigned duties and responsibilities as needed.
Participates in snow removal operations.
Performs other related duties as assigned or requested

Previous experience working on large mechanical machinery a plus
Experience in metal fabrication, welding, or related manufacturing environments is a plus

Flexibility to work shifts, as assigned, in a 24/7 facility
Required Minimum Qualifications
Education requirement: Graduation from high school or the possession of a GED, HiSET or TASC Certificate.
Experience Requirement: Three (3) years of experience performing a variety of duties in construction, mechanical, or facility maintenance.
Education/Experience Equivalency: A combination of appropriate education and experience may be substituted for the minimum education and experience requirements.
Licensure: This job requires driving. Requires a valid Driver's License at the time of application.
Licenses and certifications must be kept current as a condition of employment.

FBI Background Check: FBI criminal background check is required for all positions at Denver International Airport (DEN). Snow / Emergency Duties: Denver International Airport is a 24/7/365 team operation. If weather conditions warrant or an emergency crisis occurs, all DEN employees can be required to work extended hours and/or shifts.
