CityScapeWhat you'll do:
As a Senior FCC Data Analyst you'll assist in maintaining and improving FCC’s analytics and technological capabilities. You'll support the development of processes and technological improvements to achieve efficiencies in various workflows and infrastructure requirements and solutions. You'll employ strong technical skills in BSA/AML and systems/database technologies to understand and communicate effectively with Information Technology, Operations teams, and various stakeholders. You'll work with a level of autonomy on complex programming schemes and systems, in identifying and resolving data analytics, visualizations, and data mining challenges.Systems & Analytics Support
- Provide analytical and technical support for systems delivery for FCC monitoring tools. Partner with Anti-Money Laundering and Enhanced Due Diligence Analysts to understand their workflow and incorporate their feedback, to strengthen the quality of FCC Data Analytics work product.
- Leverage technology to enable advance analytical and data visualization techniques that improve risk detection and increase operational efficiencies. Assist with tuning and optimization of transaction monitoring system, Customer Risk Rating scoring algorithm, and Sanctions Monitoring system. Support FCC management in developing an effective FCC model governance program, aligned with Model Risk Management guidelines.
- Participate in the development and implementation of new reporting functionality and transaction monitoring channels for FCC analytics purposes. Create professional program/reporting documentation in support of AML Transaction Monitoring and related reporting. Provide timely response to ad hoc data requests from FCC and other internal departments.
- Assist in the design and governance of FCC monitoring systems (transaction, Customer Risk Rating, Sanctions) to ensure adequate controls are in place, mitigate compliance risk, and maintain audit-soundness. Serve as a liaison to Information Technology, Risk Management, and Operations.
Power BI Data Reporting & Accuracy
- Ensure Power BI reports for FCC are refreshed according to their scheduled cycle (daily, weekly, etc.). Promptly address any reporting delays with the Power BI Administrator and/or IT partners, and communicate status to stakeholders.
- Perform data quality checks in alignment with business requirements and expected output. Conduct peer reviews on 100% of dashboards/reports created and published to minimize reporting errors.
- Create and maintain PowerBI dashboards/reports to reflect current business requirements. Responsible for tracking all changes to queries and input logic, and maintain records of changes, UAT responses, and approvals in addition to providing all input logic changes for the Critical Spreadsheet Inventory to business owners and IAS
Risk Assessment Support
- Participate in discussions with then business partners ensuring all data pulls/queries are in alignment with the BSA/AML/OFAC Annual Risk Assessment’s Business Requirements Document (BRD).
- Demonstrate understanding of BRD throughout engagement, and provide alternative options that improve upon initial requirements.
- Resolve any data discrepancies or challenges in partnership with all stakeholders.
What you'll need:
- 4+ years of related experience in BSA/AML & Financial Crimes or similar field OR Bachelor's degree in related field required.
- Intermediate knowledge of general banking operations, including deposit operations, loan administration, treasury management and/or other commercial banking products and services.
- Intermediate knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards, and practices.
- Intermediate knowledge and experience in experience in financial services data analysis and systems technologies.
- Intermediate knowledge of SQL, Python, and/or JIRA, with at least 3-year minimum experience using Databricks, SAS, R or other statistical software and Hadoop or other big data platform to enhance analytics.
- Experience using technologies for data visualization and workflow/issue management such as PowerBI, Power Automate, Microsoft Forms, and Power Apps.
- Intermediate speaking and writing communication skills.
- Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist preferred.
