Job Description:

This role is responsible for maximizing the value of technology products that support Financial Crimes operations and investigations. The individual will serve as a Product Owner for a portfolio of applications and platforms used by Financial Crimes teams, partnering with business stakeholders, technology teams, and operations partners to define product strategy, prioritize enhancements, and deliver solutions that improve efficiency, user experience, and business outcomes.

Key responsibilities include managing product roadmaps, gathering and documenting business requirements, translating stakeholder needs into actionable user stories and acceptance criteria, coordinating testing activities, and ensuring technology solutions meet business and regulatory requirements. This role requires strong product ownership, business analysis, project coordination, and stakeholder management skills, as well as experience working with large-scale data and technology platforms in an Agile environment.

The successful candidate will serve as a liaison between business users and development teams, ensuring priorities are aligned, delivery timelines are managed effectively, and product enhancements are implemented successfully.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for applications supporting Financial Crimes investigations and operations, maximizing value delivered to business partners and end users.
  • Execute and deliver initiatives through Agile methodologies, maintaining a well-defined product backlog, prioritization framework, and release roadmap aligned to business objectives.
  • Gather, analyze, and document actionable business and functional requirements for complex technology initiatives, translating business needs into detailed user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Analyze data, business processes, and application performance metrics to synthesize insights, identify trends, and drive strategic product and process improvements.
  • Communicate and influence stakeholders across business, operations, technology, and leadership teams to gain alignment on product roadmaps, priorities, risks, and key decisions.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for assigned products and business processes, providing guidance, driving innovation, and supporting strategic decision-making.
  • Own and manage end-to-end product risk through preventive controls, monitoring activities, issue identification, and effective remediation to reduce recurring issues and ensure operational stability.
  • Manage a portfolio of technology applications used by Financial Crimes teams, coordinating across multiple stakeholder groups to balance competing priorities, resource capacity, timelines, and delivery commitments.
  • Partner with technology teams to support solution design, development, testing, implementation, production support, and ongoing platform enhancements, ensuring solutions meet business requirements.
  • Develop and execute test plans, test scripts, and user acceptance testing activities while utilizing tools such as Jira, SQL, Teradata, Hadoop, and Microsoft Office applications to support product delivery, data analysis, and change management.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in Product Ownership, Business Analysis, Product Management, Technology Delivery, or related disciplines.
  • Experience managing technology products, applications, or platforms in an Agile environment.
  • Strong experience gathering requirements and translating business needs into user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications.
  • Experience using Jira for backlog management, Agile delivery, and change management.
  • Experience developing and executing test scripts and supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Strong data analysis skills with experience querying data using SQL.
  • Experience working with large-scale data platforms such as Teradata and Hadoop.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders, competing priorities, project timelines, and delivery dependencies in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting Financial Crimes, AML, KYC, Fraud, Sanctions, or Compliance organizations.
  • Experience with process improvement, workflow automation, and technology transformation initiatives.
  • Experience in financial services or another highly regulated industry.
