Position Purpose:
In accordance with the Mission, Core Values and Vision; the Director of Sales is responsible for directing the department's activities and resources to ensure alignment with the mission, values, and objectives of the department and organization. Directs the regional sales function and is responsible for ensuring the Trinity Health Plan and Mount Carmel Health Insurance Company (who do business under the brand names "Mount Carmel MediGold, Trinity Health Plan New York, Trinity Health Plan of Michigan and MercyOne Health Plan”) sales volume and profitability objectives are met.
What You Will Do:
Develops and implements goals, plans, and standards consistent with the clinical, administrative, legal, and ethical requirements/objectives of the organization to ensure all membership development goals are met.
Manages the negotiation of new contracts with independent brokers and other external producers to establish and effectively manage productivity goals for employed and appointed agents while ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
Provides insight and leadership regarding Health Insurance sales trends and develops goals and programs to drive Medigold Health Plan sales performance.
Establish sales protocols and related processes to ensure adherence to all regulated agent and broker guidelines established by CMS and the State.
Collaborates with marketing and communications to promote the Medigold Health Plan brands and drive sales in key markets.
Establish, maintain and oversee relationships with key community agencies and leaders, as well as vendors and facilities affiliated with sales activities and seminar locations (as needed).
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in business or marketing (Master's degree preferred).
Licensure / Certification: Active State of Ohio Insurance License (Life and Health).
Experience: Seven (7) years of experience in the health insurance industry specific to sales and marketing roles (preferably related to Medicare Advantage or another government-related insurance line), including at least 5 years of sales management experience with a focus on Broker relationships.
