Job Description
Job Functions:
Maintain/is accountable for appropriate material inventory levels for assigned contract manufacturers/product lines.
Independently execute supply planning and purchasing activities for high-mix-low-volume products in medical device manufacturing environment.
Drive consensus process with demand planning and coordinate with contract manufacturers to develop the production plan made for instruments, sub-assemblies, and PCBAs.
Drive Contract Manufacturers to develop production schedule by working cross-functionally with Supply Chain and Manufacturing while achieving optimum inventory level in the plant and across the DCs.
Identify and resolve supply exceptions by expediting purchase orders, re-allocating materials and changing production priorities (PO creation, rescheduling, cancellations).
Actively engage cross-functional teams and external suppliers (contract manufacturers) to deliver business metrics (e.g. Product Availability, On-Time Delivery) and drive actions to meet/exceed goals.
Proactively communicate supply status and potential risks with demand planning to ensure sufficient finished goods supply including PCBAs and sub-assemblies.
Monitor and manage demand fluctuations, forecast changes, and supply risks.
Manage ECR / ECO activities with Contract Manufacturers, review and analyze turnaround time for impact sheet submission performance.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree with 4 years Planning/Purchasing/Logistics/Operations experience, or Associate’s degree with 6 years’ experience, or High School Diploma with 8 years’ experience required.
Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics or related field preferred.
High proficiency with Microsoft office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) and Windows
High proficiency with and knowledge of MRP/SCM/ERP systems. Knowledge of SAP (including SAP APO) preferred.
Certification (Six Sigma (Green or Black Belt), APICS, ISM, CPIM, CIRM or CPSM) preferred
Complexity:
Able to collaborate effectively with internal / external stakeholders to deliver expected results to Waters
Able to work proactively and efficiently with minimum supervision
Able to work in a matrix organization with personnel in various countries and time zones
Able to understand and adhere to quality requirements
Able to maneuver within the changing landscape of international imports and exports
Personal Contacts:
External: Contract Manufacturers, Suppliers
Internal: Waters Global Planning, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Finance Teams, Waters Distribution Centers, and internal customers
Mental/Physical Requirements:
