Job Description

As a Security Officer Hospital in Wexford, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed Security Officer in a healthcare setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. You will support a caring environment through professionalism, teamwork, and integrity while responding to routine security-related needs. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities within a healthcare setting.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of healthcare facilities, entrances, parking areas, and surrounding perimeters to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and access concerns.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor management, directing individuals to appropriate areas while maintaining awareness of restricted locations.
• Prepare accurate reports and documentation related to incidents, patrols, observations, and security-related activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Must be able to work in and around a hospital morgue.
• Must be able to restrain individuals when necessary.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
