As an Operational Risk Management Specialist at OCBC, you will play a critical role in identifying and mitigating risks that could impact our business operations. You will work closely with various stakeholders to ensure that our risk management practices are robust and effective, and that we are well-positioned to achieve our strategic objectives.

Leverage my operational risk, assurance and audit experience to identify cross-cutting risk themes and control gaps.
Partner with stakeholders to deliver practical, risk-based improvements that enhance organisational resilience.
What you do
Lead the planning, prioritisation and delivery of thematic reviews aligned to the organisation’s operational risk profile, emerging risk themes and management priorities.
Identify cross-cutting control weaknesses, risk hotspots, systemic trends, red flags and areas of concern through targeted reviews of processes, controls, incidents, issues and management information.
Provide independent second-line challenge and work with stakeholders to agree practical, risk-based actions to address identified concerns before they escalate into more significant risk events.
Analyse patterns, root causes and emerging indicators to anticipate potential adverse trends or control deterioration across businesses, products, processes or entities.
Prepare clear, concise and well-supported reports for senior management and relevant governance forums, highlighting key observations, implications and recommended actions.
Track thematic review outcomes and management actions to support timely closure and sustainable remediation.
Continuously enhance the thematic review methodology, including scoping, sampling, documentation, quality assurance and reporting standards.
Lead or participate in cross-functional initiatives to improve risk management practices, productivity, data usage, control monitoring or review quality.
Who you are
Min. 10 years of relevant experience in operational risk, non-financial risk, compliance assurance, internal audit, business risk management or control testing within a banking or financial services environment.
Strong understanding of banking products, processes, systems, controls and risk governance.
Experience leading thematic reviews, control assessments, assurance reviews, internal audits or regulatory/compliance testing.
Proven ability to identify root causes, emerging risk themes, systemic issues and practical remediation actions.
Experience engaging senior stakeholders and presenting risk insights to management or governance forums.
Confident stakeholder management with the ability to influence across business, risk, compliance and audit teams and able to exercise sound judgment, provide independent challenge and balance risk management expectations with business practicality.
Experience in compliance assurance / testing or internal audit would be an added advantage.
Independent, organised and able to manage multiple reviews or priorities concurrently.
High level of integrity, professional skepticism and attention to detail.
