Role Summary
The (Associate) Commercial Business Partner supports the Commercial Business Partnering function across the Real World Evidence (RWE) portfolio. The role provides structured commercial, financial, and operational support across the end-to-end opportunity and project lifecycle, partnering with Principals In Charge (PICs) and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure accuracy, compliance, and delivery against revenue and margin objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Forecast revenue for assigned Offering(s) through regular monitoring of the pipeline and active opportunities, in coordination with Local and Global Sales & Delivery Teams
Act as a key partner to PICs by providing end-to-end project lifecycle support, including opportunity setup guidance, execution assistance, pass-through management and invoicing
Drive process consistency, governance adherence, and operational efficiency
Conduct regular project profitability reviews to understand performance drivers and trends, and identify opportunities for margin improvement
Provide financial and commercial analysis to support performance and decision-making
Act as a key point of contact for project-level financial and operational queries across RWE stakeholders for assigned Offering(s)
Support Annual Sales Incentive Plan administration and tracking
Ad-hoc tasks and analyses, as required
Skills, Education, Experience and Competencies
Typically requires 3-5 years’ business controlling or project finance experience
University degree (Master / Bachelor) in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration or equivalent
Knowledge of revenue recognition, forecasting, variance analysis, month-end processes and P&L management
Strong Excel and systems capability (CRM, SAP, Hyperion or equivalent)
Experience working with commercial and financial data
Highly numerate with strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple stakeholders in a matrixed environment
Proactive, solution-oriented mindset
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement
Collaborative team player
Ability to prioritize tasks and operate in a fast-paced, evolving environment
Fluency in English (spoken and written) to a strong business standard
