Job Description
As a Security Officer Visitor Registration in Mont Belvieu, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a chemical/petrochemical location, you will help manage entry and exit activity, verify credentials, monitor access points, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license. You will provide outstanding customer service and communication while supporting site operations through teamwork, integrity, and Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and caring culture.

- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical/petrochemical location.
- Monitor and control access to the facility by verifying credentials, processing visitors and contractors, maintaining entry records, and communicating site requirements.
- Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, business areas, and the perimeter to help identify unauthorized activity, hazards, and security-related concerns.
- Maintain accurate logs and reports related to visitor activity, credential issues, incidents, and shift communications.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
- Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
