Job Description
As a Security Officer Armed Roving Patrol Driver in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Armed Security Professional at a retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for customers and team members. This driving post requires travel throughout assigned areas. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and represent Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and caring culture with integrity and teamwork.

- Provide customer service to clients, customers, and store team members by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter locations, to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location; report suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy concerns to appropriate personnel.
- Prepare accurate reports and maintain required documentation for incidents, patrols, and other security-related activities.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, corrections, military, or 5 years of armed security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas only.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
