PART-TIME SCHEDULE -  Monday- Friday – 4 hours per day within the school’s hours of operation which are 9AM-3PM.    The exact schedule will be discussed during interview as it is flexible, but the hours worked must be the same each day and within the school’s hours of operation.

FAMILIES AND SCHOOLS SUCCEEDING TOGETHER (FASST)

FASST provides counseling and mental health services for students and their families in the Central and East Valley School Districts.  FBH that provides counseling and mental health services for students and families at each of the district's schools. Services may be accessed by contacting the principal, a school counselor, or a FASST counselor at a student’s school site.

In this position, you will complete comprehensive intake assessments including risk assessments, preliminary diagnosis, and treatment recommendations for individuals seeking treatment for FASST in the schools. Requires timely completion of documentation. Provide trauma-informed, person-centered, evidence-based therapy to clients served within the FASST Program in the schools. Participate in a multidisciplinary team by providing therapeutic interventions, writing and implement recovery care plans, provide client education, advocate on behalf of clients and conduct risk assessments while measuring client progress toward established goals and objectives in virtual, office, or community-based settings.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following. 

  • Provide initial assessments both in office and in the schools or community for persons seeking services in the FASST Program to determine individual meets medical necessity and eligibility for FASST services.

  • Provide episodic, trauma-informed, person-centered therapy utilizing evidence-based practices.

  • Maintain client records and all other required documentation in a timely and confidential manner, in accordance with agency policies and practices.

  • Conduct risk assessments, develop and implement safety plans, and provide crisis intervention and stabilization services as needed, including facilitating access to inpatient facilities for behavioral health care.

  • Facilitate and co-facilitate client treatment groups. 

  • Represent the agency and its services to the community in a positive and professional manner.

  • Participate in required staff meetings, including regular supervision and weekly clinical staff meetings.

  • Participate in any required training, consultation calls, and onsite visits or reviews when required by contract.

  • Accept delegation and follow through with specific expanded assignments and responsibilities within FBH system such as quality improvements teams, task groups, committees, consultations, mentoring or training responsibilities.

  • Establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with clinical, administrative and support staff, community partners, clients, and family/natural supports.

  • Include the client’s support network and applicable involved community partners in treatment and any applicable care coordination.

  • Coordinate with treatment team regarding treatment progress and discharge planning and operate as a member of multi-disciplinary team providing services in the community, virtually, and clinical setting in compliance with any treatment models.

  • Develop and implement care plans with measurable objectives and obtainable goals, in collaboration with the client, evaluating client’s progress and adjusting as needed.

  • Meet productivity standards in accordance with agency program guidelines.

  • Comply with all state WAC requirements and FBH policies and procedures

  • Perform FBH charting requirements, correspondence, Workday, and other paperwork in a complete and timely manner.

  • May be assigned to supervise interns.

  • Maintain professional credentials, including continuing education as applicable.

  • Requires travel between various FBH work sites on a regular or daily basis, either via FBH owned Vehicles and/or personal vehicle.

  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFIED CANDIDATES WILL HAVE:

    REQUIRED:

    1. Master's degree in psychology, counseling, social work or related field from accredited college or university.

    2. At the time of hire, must have applied for one of the following DOH credentials in order to meet the requirements of a mental health professional as defined by WAC 246-341-0200:

    (a) Counselor Agency Affiliated - Licensed (LAAC) OR

    (b) Licensed Mental Health Counselor/ Associate (LMHC/A) OR

    (c) Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker/ Associate (LICSW/A) OR

    (d) Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist/ Associate (LMFT/A) AND THEN

    (e) Credential must be active with DOH within 6 months of hire date unless currently meeting preferred licensure credential requirement below.

    3. Must have an unrestricted and valid driver’s license, active car insurance and must be willing to use their personal vehicle in the course of work. 

    PREFERRED:

    • Two years of experience providing clinical behavioral health services preferred.

    • Active DOH licensure (e.g., LMHC, LICSW, LMFT) in the State of Washington (Licensed employees have the title Mental Health Clinician III).

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

    • Knowledge of service delivery models including groups, skills training, brief/focused therapy, community-based intervention for children and/or adults with serious and persistent mental health diagnoses.

    • Knowledge of Washington Administrative Codes and statutes pertaining to the treatment and delivery of mental health services.

    • Knowledge of and experience providing evidence-based psychotherapy modalities.

    • Ability to communicate and engage effectively with individuals of varied backgrounds, traumatic experiences, cultures, education level and socio-economic status.

    • This position provides client services in-office and within the community at large on a occasional to frequent basis. Community settings include but are not limited to residences, group/congregate living settings, hospitals, shelters, the streets or anywhere in the community at large.

    • Some environments may not be ideal in terms of cleanliness or being habitable.

    • Occasional frequent travel between locations is required.

    • The ability to drive a vehicle, traverse distances up to several city blocks and on various terrains, navigate stairs, get in and out of vehicles frequently is required.

    • Daily use of a computer is required.

    • May be required to lift 10 - 20 pounds. 

    PAY RANGE (Hourly/ Non-Exempt):

    • Mental Health Clinician II - No Licensure: $31.84 - $38.79

    • Mental Health Clinician III - Licensure: $33.70 - $41.06

     

    All pay is based on longevity at Frontier Behavioral Health; thus the starting pay for this position is as follows:

    • Mental Health Clinician II - No Licensure: $31.84 per hour.

    • Mental Health Clinician III - Licensure: $33.70 per hour.
