Description
The primary responsibility of the NPI/Tool Validation Specialist is to serve as the central point of contact for the site to communicate, track, and monitor the introduction of new products into the production area. This role interfaces directly with the customer to understand the New Product Introduction roadmap and drive required customer deliverables for a successful product launch. The NPI/Tool Validation Specialist is also responsible for developing and maintaining a detailed tracking methodology to report key deliverables, milestones, risks, and launch readiness across cross-functional teams.
This is an on-site role at the DCC in Irving, TX, with a schedule of Monday -Friday 8 a.m.- 5 p.m.
What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?
Lead and supervise associates performing product testing, inspection, and validation activities.
Coordinate testing schedules, work assignments, and launch-readiness activities.
Monitor compliance with quality standards, inspection procedures, and safety requirements.
Escalate testing and validation issues and communicate status to cross-functional stakeholders.
Coach, train, and develop associates to ensure consistent execution and performance.
Serve as the site lead for New Product Introduction (NPI) activities and product launches.
Act as the primary customer interface for launch readiness, deliverables, and issue resolution.
Provide cross-functional program leadership across Engineering, Quality, Materials, Process Engineering, and Operations.
Manage tool validation activities to ensure hardware and software changes are validated before production release.
What are the requirements for this role?
Associate's Degree or 3-5 years’ experience in Consumer Electronics Manufacturing / Logistics
Experience with product introduction in a fast-paced environment
Experience validating third-party system integration
What other skills/experience would be helpful to have?
Experience managing calibration systems and validation processes.
Experience overseeing the Early Warning Process (EWP) and launch-readiness activities.
Understanding of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
2-4 years of direct BOM management experience.
2-4 years of process engineering experience, including process flows, process optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Demonstrated ability to successfully manage projects from initiation through completion.
Experience working in a fast-paced consumer electronics manufacturing environment.
Proven ability to coordinate and lead the activities of others, including cross-functional teams, with and without direct reporting authority.
Pay Range:
$64,900.00 - $108,200.00Any posted pay range considers a wide range of compensation factors, including candidate background, experience and work location, while also allowing for salary growth within the position.
