Company Description
We’re representing a fast-growing developer infrastructure company building the authentication, identity, authorization, and enterprise-readiness layer for modern software companies. Its APIs help developers add critical enterprise capabilities such as SSO, directory sync, provisioning, and access control without having to build those systems from scratch.
The company recently raised a $100M Series C at a $2B valuation and has approximately $198M in total funding. Its platform is used by many of the fastest-growing software and AI companies, including OpenAI, Cursor, Perplexity, Vercel, and Plaid.
As AI reshapes how software is built and operated, the company is expanding its focus across both human and agent identity—helping customers securely manage who or what is accessing their systems and what those identities are allowed to do.
What You Will Do
- Work directly with customers to design and implement technical solutions using the company’s APIs and infrastructure products.
- Own customer technical outcomes end-to-end, from discovery and architecture through implementation, iteration, and handoff.
- Lead technical demos, evaluations, and proof-of-concept projects.
- Build prototypes, integrations, and pragmatic solutions that accelerate customer adoption.
- Partner closely with Account Executives throughout technical evaluations and expansion opportunities.
- Identify technical blockers early and independently drive solutions forward.
- Work across authentication and identity concepts including SAML, SCIM, OAuth, SSO, and authorization.
- Translate customer requirements into clear technical architecture and implementation plans.
- Share structured customer feedback with Product and Engineering teams to improve the platform.
- Use modern AI development tools such as Claude, Cursor, and AI coding agents to accelerate technical work and customer delivery.
- Serve as a trusted technical partner to both engineering teams and business stakeholders at customer organizations.
Ideal Background
- 3–6 years of experience in Solutions Engineering, Pre-Sales Engineering, Sales Engineering, or a similar customer-facing technical role.
- Experience working at B2B SaaS startups.
- Strong technical fundamentals across APIs, web applications, and modern software architecture.
- Comfortable writing code, debugging integrations, and building prototypes rather than operating exclusively in a presentation-focused sales role.
- Experience owning customer-facing technical projects from discovery through implementation.
- Strong understanding of how modern web applications and APIs work.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with both engineers and business stakeholders.
- High-agency working style with a track record of independently identifying blockers and driving outcomes.
- Comfortable working at the intersection of Engineering, Product, and Sales.
- Able to work from the San Francisco office approximately 2–3 days per week.
Preferred
- Experience with SAML, SCIM, OAuth, SSO, identity, authentication, or authorization systems.
- Background at a developer tools, infrastructure, security, or API-first software company.
- Experience supporting complex enterprise software evaluations.
- Familiarity with AI coding tools such as Claude, Cursor, or similar agentic development tools.
- Experience building demos, proof-of-concepts, or customer-specific integrations.
- Strong understanding of developer experience and the needs of engineering-led buyers.
- Startup experience where Solutions Engineers had meaningful technical ownership beyond traditional pre-sales responsibilities.
- Interest in emerging identity and access-control challenges created by AI agents.
Compensation and Benefits and Other Things

- Full-time position.
- Opportunity to work with hundreds of modern software companies building enterprise-ready products.
- Direct exposure to some of the most important emerging problems in human and agent authentication, identity, and access control.
- Interview process includes recruiter screen, hiring manager screen, short technical take-home, final interview, founder conversation, and reference checks.
