What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and other individuals by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities within a behavioral health care setting.
• Respond to incidents, behavioral health crises, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and contacting appropriate personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, patient, and staff activity in accordance with site procedures, documenting and reporting unusual incidents or conditions.
• Prepare accurate reports, maintain communication with Allied Universal leadership and site contacts, and support a respectful environment for individuals receiving care.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Must meet hospital vaccine requirements.
• Must be able to restrain individuals.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
