Job Summary:

We are seeking a talented and creative Junior Graphic Designer to join our team in Durban, South Africa. The ideal candidate will have a passion for design and a strong understanding of current design trends. They will be responsible for creating visual concepts, using computer software or by hand, to communicate ideas that inspire, inform, or captivate our clients. The Junior Graphic Designer will work closely with the design team to produce high-quality designs for a variety of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create visually appealing designs for print and digital media, including advertisements, brochures, packaging, social media graphics, and more
• Collaborate with the design team to develop and execute creative concepts
• Understand project requirements and client needs to create designs that meet their objectives
• Use a variety of design software and tools to create and edit designs
• Present design concepts to clients and make revisions based on feedback
• Ensure all designs adhere to brand guidelines and standards
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to continuously improve design skills
• Work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Graphic Design or a related field
• 1-2 years of experience in graphic design, preferably in a fast-paced environment
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
• Strong understanding of layout, typography, and color theory
• Creative and innovative mindset with a strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• Excellent communication and time management skills
• A portfolio showcasing previous design work is required
