Job Description
Supports data-driven decision making within the Program Development organization by identifying, curating, and communicating data from Program Development systems to meet the reporting requirements of leadership and cross-functional stakeholders. Translates data requirements into actionable reports, dashboards, and data solutions that make project health, output quality, and operational performance visible and accessible. Partners with internal teams and system owners to locate, validate, and integrate data from multiple sources, ensuring the information used to guide program development decisions is accurate, timely, and well-documented.
Primary Responsibilities
- Partners with leadership, project managers, and department decision-makers to understand data needs and translates those needs into specific data capture and reporting tasks.
- Identifies relevant data sources across Program Development systems (e.g., project management tools, workflow tools, enterprise systems) and determines the most effective methods for extracting and compiling that data.
- Works with team members and integration developers to access required data, resolve data discrepancies, and establish repeatable data feeds where possible.
- Designs and builds reports, dashboards, and data visualizations that clearly communicate project status, operational metrics, and program development outcomes to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Maintains and updates existing reports and dashboards to reflect evolving business needs, ensuring data accuracy and consistency over time.
- Documents data definitions, sources, extraction methods, and report logic to support transparency and institutional knowledge.
- Performs quality assurance checks on data outputs to ensure completeness and accuracy before delivery to stakeholders.
- Supports ad-hoc data requests by gathering, compiling, and formatting information within established timelines.
- Assists in the reporting of objectives and key results (OKRs) and operational metrics as directed by leadership.
- Contributes to process improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to automate data collection, streamline reporting workflows, and reduce manual effort.
- Maintains organized records of all data products, report versions, and related documentation.
- Participates in and contributes to regular team and department meetings. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
This is a full-time role that is on-site in Salt Lake City, Monday through Friday, during regular business hours.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work through ambiguous data requirements.
- AI-fluency and strong aptitude for learning new technology.
- Strong skills in data extraction, compilation, and validation from structured and semi-structured sources.
- Proficiency in building reports and dashboards using tools such as CODA, SmartSheet, ServiceNow, or similar platforms.
- Working knowledge or willingness to develop querying skills within the first year.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and integrity.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain data findings to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent data requests and prioritize work based on leadership direction. Strong organization and documentation skills.
- Ability to build productive working relationships with colleagues across departments to facilitate data access and collaboration.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, onsite environment with shifting priorities.
- Familiarity with project management concepts and tools.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in a related field of study (data analytics, information systems, business, education, project management, or similar).
Experience
- Two (2) years of related work experience, which includes experience with data extraction, reporting, analytics, product management, and/or project management.
- Experience working with multiple data systems or platforms to compile information for reporting purposes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in higher education or program/curriculum development environments.
- Proficiency in SQL, Tableau, Power BI, or similar data tools.
- Experience with project management tools, such as Smartsheet and Service Now.
- Familiarity with learning management systems or student information systems.
- Scrum Master certification
- Six Sigma Green Belt certification
Travel
This position requires occasional travel of up to 20%, including required attendance at designated company summits (typically one to two per year). Additional travel may include conferences, visits to company locations, and other business-related events as needed. Additional travel may be assigned as needed to support business requirements
