HR Business Partner - Employee Relations

Description

Delavan Holdings is hiring a Human Resources Business Partner in Delavan, Wisconsin, to lead employee relations and workplace investigations for Kunes Auto, Kunes RV, and Ignition Dealer Services — 2,400 team members across 60 locations. About 70% of this role is employee relations and investigations. Onsite, with occasional travel.

What you'll do

• Independently run workplace investigations end to end: intake, interviews, documentation, findings, recommended action.
• Coach service managers, sales managers, and general managers through conduct, attendance, performance, and policy concerns.
• Support corrective action, performance improvement plans, terminations, and exit interviews.
• Partner with the HR Director on higher-risk matters under a tiered escalation model.
• Travel occasionally (about 10%) to supported locations.

Requirements

 What you need

• 2+ years of hands-on Human Resources experience with real employee relations ownership.
• Workplace investigations you have personally led start to finish. You will be asked to walk us through one.
• Experience with an hourly, frontline workforce — dealership, retail, hospitality, manufacturing, or logistics. This is high-volume frontline employee relations, not corporate-office work with a salaried population.
• Working knowledge of employment law: harassment, discrimination, retaliation, wage and hour, documentation.
• You have personally conducted or co-conducted termination meetings.
• Able to work onsite in Delavan, WI.

Nice to have: automotive or RV dealership experience, multi-state support, Paylocity, SHRM-CP or PHR. Bachelor's degree preferred, not required.
