Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Entry Management in Spindale, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a government corrections location, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage visitor access, and maintain a professional presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will communicate clearly with staff and visitors, document activity, and respond to access concerns with integrity and care. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and authorized personnel by following site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response protocols within a government corrections location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorized access, maintain visitor logs, and direct individuals according to established facility procedures.
• Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities as required.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, entry points, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
• Maintain accurate records of visitor activity, incidents, and access-related events while communicating professionally with facility personnel and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• An Armed Guard Card or License is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
