Credit Controller

Permanent | Full-Time

An established and successful organisation in North Yorks is  looking for a motivated Credit Controller to join its busy finance team on a permanent basis.

This is a great opportunity for someone with previous credit control or finance experience who enjoys building relationships, resolving queries and taking ownership of their own workload. What You'll Be Doing

As Credit Controller, you will take responsibility for a designated customer ledger, helping to maximise cash collection while maintaining positive relationships with customers.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing your own customer ledger and following up on overdue payments
• Building strong relationships with internal teams and external customers
• Investigating and resolving account and payment queries efficiently
• Accurately recording queries and ensuring they are followed through to resolution
• Providing support and cover for other members of the finance team when required

What We're Looking For

Previous credit control experience would be beneficial, although full training can be provided for someone with the right attitude and transferable finance experience.

You'll ideally have:

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• A confident and professional telephone manner
• Good numeracy and literacy skills
• A proactive approach and willingness to learn
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail
• Experience using Excel, with knowledge of formulas and pivot tables advantageous
• The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

 

This is a permanent role and is commutable from Harrogate, Wetherby, Knaresborough, Ripon and North Leeds and is an excellent opportunity to join an established finance team.
