Distribution Manager

At Johnson Brothers, we’re a leading wine, spirits, and beer distributor known for exceptional service, operational excellence, and a people-first culture. We’re seeking a hands-on, results-driven Distribution Manager to lead our warehouse and delivery operations in Colorado.

The Distribution Manager oversees all warehouse and delivery operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective distribution while maintaining high standards for safety, customer service, product accuracy, and employee performance.

Job Description:

• Oversee daily warehouse and delivery operations, including order fulfillment, inventory handling, fleet management, and customer deliveries.
• Lead, coach, and develop warehouse and delivery leaders and team members while promoting accountability and employee engagement.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable safety requirements, including OSHA and DOT regulations.
• Monitor operational performance, productivity, service levels, labor costs, and operating expenses.
• Manage staffing, scheduling, and resources to meet business and customer needs.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce errors, and improve service.
• Maintain appropriate driver qualification records and ensure compliance with hours-of-service requirements.
• Partner with Sales, Customer Service, Inventory Control, and other departments to resolve issues and support business objectives.
• Safeguard company assets, including facilities, equipment, vehicles, and inventory.

 

What We’re Looking For

 

• 10+ years of progressive experience in warehouse, transportation, logistics, or distribution operations, including leadership responsibility.
• P&L Experience and Ownership
• Experience leading complex warehouse operations with significant SKU volume, product variety, and inventory complexity.
• Proven ability to lead, develop, and motivate teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience managing operational performance, labor costs, and budgets.
• Knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, fleet operations, and applicable safety regulations.
• Strong communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with warehouse or transportation management systems.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and adapt to changing business needs.
• Flexibility to work hours that support warehouse and delivery operations.
• DSD (Direct Store Delivery) distribution experience is highly preferred

The expected pay range for this role is $80,000 - $100,000. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. Actual placement within range will be contingent upon several factors, including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, education, experience, internal equity, union status (where applicable) and alignment with market data.
