We’re looking to add a Equipment Mainenance Engineer in Flex Guadalajara, South, reporting to the Equipment Maintenance Manager 

The Equipment Maintenance Engineer is responsible for maintaining and improving the performance, reliability, and uptime of manufacturing and test equipment. This role provides technical support for mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and automated systems while driving preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, equipment repairs, and continuous improvement initiatives.

What a typical day looks like:

• Troubleshoot equipment failures, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Perform preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance on manufacturing and test equipment.
• Execute equipment calibrations, qualifications, and re-qualifications.
• Maintain and repair production machinery SMT (DEK, PP Siplace and/or fuji), reflow oven.
• Support equipment installation, relocation, startup, and decommissioning activities.
• Monitor equipment performance and maintain accurate maintenance records and logs.
• Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to improve equipment reliability and efficiency.
• Inspect, repair, replace, and align mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and electronic components.
• Support continuous improvement projects focused on uptime, productivity, and operational excellence.
• May travel to Flex sites or supplier locations as required.
• Advanced levels may perform both hardware and software maintenance.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field.

• Minimum 5 years of equipment maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automated systems.
• Experience with preventive maintenance, root cause analysis, and equipment reliability programs.
• Experience with SMT (DEK, PP Siplace and/or fuji) and reflow oven.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical documentation.
• Experience in electronics manufacturing, automated production equipment, or test systems preferred.
• English Intermediate.
