Description
Lead the development and launch of automotive lighting systems for top OEMs at a global Tier 1 supplier.
We are looking for an experienced project manager who will take over the development and industrialisation of automotive lighting projects, from design through to series production. You will coordinate R&D teams, OEM customers and internal stakeholders and make sure products reach SOP on time, on budget and in line with automotive standards. This role is only for people with hands-on experience in automotive lighting. We are not looking for a general project manager from automotive or another industry. We are looking for someone who has already led the design and production launch of headlamps or other vehicle lights and knows the automotive development lifecycle inside out. You don’t need to be an expert in optics or LED technology, but you should understand how they are developed and what it takes to bring them into series production.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Lead the development and industrialisation of automotive lighting projects from design to SOP
- Manage projects for OEM customers and act as their main point of contact
- Coordinate R&D, engineering, quality and production teams
- Drive the project through APQP phases and PPAP approval
- Own the project budget, timeline and risks
- Manage engineering changes and their impact on cost, quality and schedule
- Report project status to management and customers
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- You have led the design and production launch of automotive lighting products (headlamps, rear lamps or similar)
- You have experience managing projects for OEMs or as a Tier 1 supplier
- You have practical experience with APQP, PPAP and SOP
- You know ASPICE (Automotive SPICE) or have worked with ASPICE-compliant development processes
- You have experience with project budgeting and change management
- You understand the full automotive product development lifecycle
- You communicate excellently in English (min. C1)
NICE TO HAVE:
- Knowledge of IATF 16949 and VDA 6.3
- Experience with FMEA and DVP&R
- Experience with lighting homologation and ECE R48, R148 or R149
- Knowledge of ISO 26262 or ISO/SAE 21434
- Understanding of Matrix LED, ADB or optical design
