ACCIONA, in its Construction Business Line, is looking for a Commercial & Contracts Manager based in the Philippines for a mega infrastructure project.Job Description
The Commercial & Contracts Manager is responsible for leading the commercial and contractual management of the project from contract award through to final account close-out. The role ensures effective contract administration, protects the company’s commercial interests, and oversees subcontract management, procurement, claims, variations and commercial risk.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the main commercial and contractual interface with clients, consultants and other external stakeholders.
Lead commercial meetings, negotiations and contract-related reviews.
Provide commercial and contractual advice to the Project Director and Project Management Team.
Manage the project contract in accordance with FIDIC conditions, including notices, correspondence and contractual compliance.
Identify and mitigate commercial and contractual risks.
Lead the management of claims, variations, extensions of time and contractual entitlements.
Develop and implement commercial and contractual management procedures.
Lead subcontract procurement, administration and negotiations, ensuring appropriate terms and best value.
Oversee interim payment applications, contractual valuations and final account submissions.
Prepare and present commercial reports on claims, changes and contract status.
Lead and supervise the commercial, contracts and procurement teams.
Required Skills and Competencies
Requirements
Minimum 15 years of experience in major civil construction or infrastructure projects.
Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar commercial or contracts management role.
Strong knowledge of FIDIC contracts, construction law, claims management and dispute resolution.
Experience in large international infrastructure projects.
Degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Law or a related discipline.
Professional proficiency in English.
Joint Venture experience is desirable.
