The Assistant Director of Food & Beverage is a senior manager who works closely with the Director of Food & Beverage to ensure our guests receive the highest level of food quality and service. In addition, they oversee the development of the team, develop an annual budget, and ensure full adherence to the company's core and culture standards.
We are looking for individuals who are strategic, have strong business acumen, good communication and interpersonal skills, and are able to evidence professionalism and adaptability.
What you will do
We are seeking individuals who are strategic thinkers with strong business acumen, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a demonstrated ability to exhibit professionalism, leadership, and adaptability.
Select, train, evaluate, lead, motivate, coach, and discipline employees and managers across all Food & Beverage departments to ensure established cultural values and service standards are consistently achieved. Support the leadership team in driving accountability and performance throughout the division.
Manage labor and operational expenses through effective scheduling, budgeting, purchasing, and inventory controls.
Support the division in strategic planning and key business initiatives designed to drive revenue growth, operational excellence, and profitability.
Lead the development and execution of elevated Food & Beverage concepts, offerings, and activations in partnership with the hotel's Marketing team, utilizing brand partnerships, menu innovation, and strategic programming.
Implement and support the execution of Four Seasons Food & Beverage corporate initiatives, brand standards, and operational guidelines across all outlets and departments.
Partner with the Guest Experience team to enhance and evolve the hotel's amenities and guest experience programs.
Maintain a visible presence within the operation, fostering relationships with loyal guests while actively cultivating connections with new patrons to enhance guest satisfaction and loyalty.
Collaborate closely with the Director of Food & Beverage, Food & Beverage leadership teams, the Executive Chef, and Sous Chefs to develop innovative menus, cocktail programs, and wine offerings while maintaining exceptional product quality.
Maintain open and effective communication with employees and managers to ensure operational objectives are met, while actively participating in regular operational meetings to foster collaboration, coordination, and teamwork across departments.
Extensive Food & Beverage experience in a high-end operation is required. Applicants are required to have three to five years of previous employment in a related position.
Occasional travel is required to other Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts for training and development purposes.
