Napa Post Acute is seeking a dependable and hardworking Maintenance Assistant to help maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for our residents, visitors, and staff. If you're a hands-on problem solver who takes pride in keeping facilities operating smoothly, we'd love to meet you!
What You'll Do
As a Maintenance Assistant, you will support the overall maintenance and appearance of our skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility by:
- Assisting with general building maintenance and repairs
- Performing routine preventative maintenance tasks
- Responding to maintenance requests in a timely manner
- Completing basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting projects
- Maintaining grounds and outdoor areas as needed
- Assisting with equipment inspections and minor repairs
- Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and facility standards
- Transporting supplies and equipment when necessary
- Keeping maintenance areas organized and stocked
Qualifications
- Previous maintenance, facilities, building services, or handyman experience preferred
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry repairs
- Ability to safely use hand and power tools
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical work throughout the day
- Dependable attendance and a positive team-oriented attitude
- Experience in healthcare, skilled nursing, senior living, or hospitality is a plus
