Warehouse Manager

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION

 Provide support to the Branch in expediting parts to the Drivers for delivery to customers as well as for delivery to other Branches of the company. Supervise and coordinate the activities of warehouse workers.

• DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Ø  Review work throughout the work process and at completion, in order to ensure that it has been performed effectively.

Ø  Plan work schedules and assign duties to maintain adequate staffing levels, to ensure that activities are performed effectively, and to respond to fluctuating workloads.

Ø  Provide direction and assistance in the solution of problems with employees.

Ø  Communicate with employees and management on a regular basis to ensure procedures are followed. Enforce company policies and procedures, abide by same. 

Ø  Monitor and document employee performance at regular intervals. Create a plan for improving employee performance and potential.

Ø  Recommend pay increase based upon performance to Branch / Area Manager for their approval.

Ø  Counsel employees in work-related activities, personal growth and career development.

Ø  Ensure all stock is pulled and loaded into the delivery vehicle with accompanying and necessary documents, in conjunction with delivery schedules maintaining a 99% accuracy rate. 

Ø  Assist warehouse personnel with everyday functions when necessary.

Ø  Ensure that all warehouse equipment is in working condition.

Ø  Report work-related injuries of warehouse workers to our third-party administrator, Zurich.

EDUCATION & SKILLS

Ø  High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate

EQUIPMENT

 OSHA approved steel toed safety shoes required from the first day of this job.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

 Handling of normal stock will include lifting or carrying parts in excess of 60 lbs. up to 15% of the time. Majority of lifting and carrying will involve parts between 5 and 60 lbs.
