Associate Creative Director - Design

Overview

You move between the big picture and the fine details. A morning might begin directing a multidisciplinary pod of art directors, designers, partnering with copywriters, and motion designers on a product-launch campaign, then shift into a working session translating Bio-Rad's brand platform into an integrated concept that holds up across digital, print, video, and live events. You review creative for quality, consistency, and scientific and regulatory accuracy, coach a senior designer through a tricky execution, and present the latest round to senior stakeholders before folding their feedback into the next iteration. You partner with the PMO on timelines and, when internal capacity is tight, brief an agency or freelancer. Some days you deputize for the Creative Director, and every day you balance creative ambition with scientific credibility  

How You’ll Make an Impact:

• Translate Bio-Rad's brand strategy into integrated, multi-channel campaign concepts for high-profile launches, ensuring both marketing impact and scientific accuracy. 
• Lead and partner with direct multidisciplinary pods across art, copy, motion, and production, setting the creative bar and giving daily direction to Art Directors and Designers. 
• Own creative quality by reviewing and approving deliverables for consistency, craft, and regulatory compliance across every channel. 
• Partner with Product and Marketing to set campaign KPIs and optimize creative performance against them. 
• Mentor mid- and senior-level creatives and help evolve brand standards and ways of working as deputy to the Creative Director.  

What You Bring: 

• Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Design, Advertising, Marketing, or related field.
• Work Experience: 14+ years of multidisciplinary design and creative experience, with at least 4 in a creative-leadership role. 
• A proven ability to ideate and execute integrated campaigns from concept through launch across digital, print, video, and experiential. 
• Fluency in Adobe Creative Cloud and Figma, plus a working command of motion and interactive fundamentals. Utilizing AI in every day tasks to create efficiencies at scale. 
• Strong people-leadership and feedback skills, with a track record of growing creative talent. 
• Excellent stakeholder communication and storytelling, plus working knowledge of scientific or highly technical marketing. BA/BS in Design, Advertising, Marketing, or a related field. 

Location: This position must be based in Hercules, CA and requires the employee to be located within commuting distance of the office.

Compensation: The estimated base salary range for this position is $179,400 to $246,600 at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors. This position is eligible for a variable annual bonus, which is dependent upon achievement of your individual objectives and Company performance.
