Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Driver Screener in Lake Worth, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Government Screener with Allied Universal, you will help maintain a secure, welcoming environment by screening visitors, monitoring access points, and communicating professionally with the public and site personnel. You will remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, respond to concerns, and support daily operations with integrity, teamwork, and exceptional customer service. This is a driving position requiring a valid driver’s license.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out screening procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government location.
• Operate screening equipment and conduct entry screening in accordance with established procedures to help identify prohibited items and unauthorized access concerns.
• Verify identification, credentials, and access authorization for individuals entering restricted or controlled areas; direct visitors according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through established communication channels.
• Maintain accurate logs and reports of screening activities, incidents, and unusual occurrences; conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas and the perimeter as directed.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Possess three or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Comfortably use a computer or tablet preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
