Area Vice President - Southwest

A commercial-stage orthopedic medical device company is hiring an Area Vice President, a frontline sales leader, to build and lead its Southwest region (Arizona, Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Nevada and Colorado), based in the Phoenix, Dallas, Houston or Austin area. The company has introduced a first-of-its-kind implant for knee ligament injuries, and this leader drives its launch and adoption with orthopedic and sports-medicine surgeons, hospitals and surgery centers.

The role leads a team of about seven to eight direct field sales representatives, owns regional revenue, and recruits, coaches and develops reps in the field with 70-80% travel. Candidates need a bachelor's degree, prior success as a field sales rep, and 5+ years of frontline sales management in orthopedics, trauma, sports medicine or an adjacent surgeon-facing field such as regenerative or tissue products, including launching a disruptive technology. Operating room case coverage experience is a plus.
