CWI Inspector / NDE Level II Technician

Braun Intertec is seeking a CWI Inspector / Level II NDE Technician to join their NDE team in Bloomington, MN:

 

Candidates must be local or willing to relocate to Bloomington, MN area. This is typically a Monday – Friday job with occasional overtime available. Travel is occasional and typically up to 20%. Per diem / lodging expenses are only available only when traveling outside of the Bloomington, MN area. Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates.

 

Responsibilities:

• Performs CWI inspections to support various industries
• Prepare reports and other work documents in a timely and accurate manner
• Understands and utilizes safe work practices
• Additional responsibilities performing MT, PT, UT, shearwave, RT and visual inspections on specifically assigned field projects, based on additional NDT certifications.

 

Required Skills & Experience:

• 5+ years of recent experience working as a nondestructive technician supporting various industries strongly preferred
• 1+ years of recent experience performing CWI inspections in any combination of the following industries: structural steel / construction, bridges / transportation, oil & gas (pipeline), refineries / petrochemical, power generation, pressure vessels / storage tanks, renewable energy, water / waste water etc...
• Experienced with a combination of NDT methods, procedures, reporting and equipment
• The ability to communicate, coordinate and work effectively with multiple clients and office locations

 

Minimum Requirements:

• AWS-CWI certification is required
• Additional combination of MT, PT, UT, RT, VT, and / or shearwave Level II NDT certifications strongly preferred
• Must meet and have documentation demonstrating satisfaction of ASNT-TC-1A Level II requirements for experience and education
• Must have a valid driver’s license with an insurable driving record
• Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred, additional NDE post high school education a plus
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 75 lbs.
• Must be able to work off ladders and scaffolds
• Must be willing to travel (20%)
• Must be local to or willing to relocate within a commutable distance to Bloomington, MN.

Compensation Range:

$60,000.00 - $90,000.00
