What You’ll Do:
As the Senior Network Administrator, you will support mission critical systems at NAS Fallon, NV. You will provide hands-on technical leadership in the configuration, administration, troubleshooting, and protection of network infrastructure supporting Navy training and mission requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure, administer, and maintain network infrastructure, including managed switches, routers, firewalls, proxy servers, cryptographic devices, and intrusion detection and prevention systems.
- Implement and maintain secure configurations for network devices and associated operating systems in accordance with Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).
- Design and implement physical and logical network configurations, including network segmentation, routing, access controls, and need-to-know separation of data.
- Troubleshoot complex network connectivity, routing, switching, and performance issues; identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Monitor network availability, capacity, and performance; recommend improvements to support reliability, security, and mission requirements.
- Perform and support vulnerability assessments using the Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS), applicable DISA STIGs, and the Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) Compliance Checker.
- Remediate vulnerabilities, implement required technical controls, and document corrective actions in coordination with system administrators and cybersecurity personnel.
- Support the DoD Information Assurance Vulnerability Management Program (IAVMP), including evaluating applicable directives, implementing corrective actions, and tracking compliance.
- Maintain network configuration baselines, device configuration backups, equipment inventories, operating procedures, and physical and logical network diagrams.
- Plan and execute network upgrades, equipment replacements, and configuration changes through established change management processes.
- Coordinate with Government stakeholders, system administrators, cybersecurity personnel, and other technical teams to support network integration and mission operations.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to network support personnel.

Requirements
What You’ll Bring:
Required Qualifications:
- You have 9 years of progressively responsible experience designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise and tactical network infrastructures. A bachelor's degree in a STEM related area of study may be considered in lieu of the full 9 years of experience.
- Required for this position: CCNP Enterprise, Security, or Data Center, and an operating system certification (Linux+ preferred). In addition, one of the following industry certifications is required: SecurityX/CASP+, CCNA, CCSP, GCED, GCIA, GCLD, GDSA, GFACT. Please upload copies of any relevant certifications you hold.
- Experience in network engineering, architecture, or administration, including experience supporting computer systems administration.
- Extensive experience supporting the DoD Information Assurance Vulnerability Management Program (IAVMP).
- Demonstrated experience configuring, administering, and troubleshooting enterprise switches, routers, firewalls, and related network infrastructure.
- Strong working knowledge of Ethernet, TCP/IP, VLANs, routing protocols, access control lists, and copper and fiber infrastructure, including Inside Plant (ISP) and Outside Plant (OSP).
- Hands-on experience with Cisco IOS and experience or training with Cisco NX-OS.
- Networking knowledge equivalent to Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), with the ability to independently resolve complex network issues.
- Experience implementing DISA STIGs and using ACAS and SCAP tools to assess and remediate vulnerabilities.
- Possess applicable computing environment certification or documented vendor training, as required by the contract.
- Ability to communicate technical issues clearly, maintain accurate documentation, and coordinate work across technical teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting classified networks, Special Access Program environments, or military training systems.
- Experience with Multi-Level Security environments.
- Experience supporting network authorization documentation and Risk Management Framework (RMF) activities.
- Experience leading network upgrades, troubleshooting efforts, and infrastructure improvement projects.
